It's been too long since I've seen a movie, so I apologize for the lack of reviews lately. I saw Exorcist: The Beginning (2004) most recently, and I would have to say it was pretty creepy even if it wasn't as good as the original. Stellan SkarsgÄrd is great as the young, fallen priest father Merrin. Sarah, played convincingly by Izabella Scorupco , is the young doctor in the African town. They discover a young boy is sick while unearthing a Catholic church discovered in the area. The Catholic church wasn't active in that part of the world until several hundred years later, and disturbing it has unleashed something foul and evil. While much much better than Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977) It fails to capture the feeling of the original or even the marginal Exorcist III, The (1990) so I would recommend it, but wait for the rental/PPV.
