Well I had a blessed Christmas eve and day spent with family & loved ones. I am thankful for everything for which God has blessed me, and I am also pleased I have people who love and care enough for me to give me gifts...like a 5-disc DVD player with surround sound, and the following DVD's:
Scarface 2-disc set
Old School Unrated
The Simpsons second complete season
Hulk 2 disc set
The Blues Brothers Special Edition
And Socom for the PS2!
I also now have an appropriate winter coat and gloves as well as many wonderful memories with my family!
Hope yours was special!!

The movies were fan-freaking-tastic!!! We arrived 45 mins. early and got so-so seats. They gave us a yarn to wear so we could get in and out of the theater, and a sticker to write our names on and put on the back of our seat so we could have the same seat for all three movies! We bought a large tub o' corn and two large drinks (free refills all day!!) and in betwix the Fellowship & Two Towers extended editions, they served us PIZZA! FOR FREE! Then after the ROTK ended (which we got to see two hours before the rest of the suckers waiting until midnight) New Line Cinema gave each person a cool, highly collectible film frame with three frames (one from each movie!!!) How sweet is that! In my humble opinion, without all the extras, ROTK is the perfect end to a perfect trilogy!! BTW, all liberties taken with the story aside, it is better to read them, but as films they stay as true to the source material as possible!

A great day! Although opposed to the war and sending our troops to die (it seems like more everyday) I am thrilled Saddam was finally captured after nine months on the run! He needs to be disposed of quickly. He should be thrown UNDER the prison where he can be violated everyday. Let's pray the people of Iraq can rest at ease and the turmoil will be resolved soon!

Four days and counting to the LOTR Trilogy!!! I'll be in Ft Wayne watching the extended editions of the first two films, and then The Return of the King!!!!! I know I'll have a sore butt, yet I am sure it'll be worth it! As long as they stay true to the book, it'll be the best one yet! I'll give my report on Wednesday.

P.S. A day that will live in Infamy....Thanks boys.
I have been in a bit of a blue funk lately. Maybe it has to do with not being a teacher anymore. Call it a sabbatical, call it a slow economy but whatever you call it, it still means I'm working at Target and NOT in my intended career. I haven't been doing very well on my diet, too many carbs to count. Oh well. Time will tell!

It's finally snowing in NW Indiana, and it's a wet, heavy one at that! Perfect for snowballs and snow people! It's payday and I'm off from work! WOOO-HOOO! Walking in a winter Wonderland....

Well, the cold and flu season is upon us in NW Indiana, and our family is in the thick of it! I have tickets to see the LOTR trilogy on Dec. 16-17 in FT Wayne, but my Bro-in-law had to back out, so I've got to invite someone else...my friend Jason is getting back to me.
Yesterday at work (Target) we had a senior citizen discount day where we invite folks in the community to come in for an extra discount and personal assistants to help them shop for the holidays, and we have coffee, hot cocoa, cookies, etc. I was asked to wear the Santa suit...I gotta lose more weight! But it was fun and I'd do it again in an instant. My friend Amy in Houston sent me a cool link to join, HSX.com, and it's a Hollywood stock exchange game. You buy and sell movies and actors stocks. It's really fun.
