"Spiderman 2" was as faithful to the original but able to stand
entirely on it's own, and it wasn't just a big-budget-comic-book
action movie, it was much more. It had more romance, more humor,
of course more action and increased the thrill factor. I loved the
first "Spiderman" and this one is on par with it. "Doc Ock" (Alfred
Molina) made a terrific villain, Spiderman (Toby Maguire) developed
many more levels as a character/hero struggling with his desires vs
his duty. Mary-Jane Watson (Kirsten Dusnst) as the love interest is
perfect as is Aunt May (Rosemary Harris) and our comic relief in
most cases is J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson, Sam Rami
is once again perfectly in-synch with the characters and story
and Danny Elfman's music lends an incredible feel. You won't be
disappointed with "Spiderman 2"
